The problem with most lock-ons is the hard plastic core takes up a lot of space and that means less rubber for the actual grip. Burgtec uses a really thin tapered core that gives just enough for the structure but allows more rubber to create the grip and help with vibrations and give that nice soft comfy feel. The have a just the right amount softness which gives tack and plenty of durability
